Gmail suffers an interruption in its service

The Google company today reported an interruption in its Gmail email service, used by some 450 million users worldwide.
The website that measures the performance of its services, Apps Status Dashboard, recorded the first problems at 18.12 GMT and called them a "service interruption."
"We are investigating the information we have received about a problem with Gmail," the company said.
About 30 minutes later the service was restored for most users, although others still could not access the web and others did so more slowly than usual, according to testimonies collected by the specialized portal TechCrunch.
The error that Gmail reflected is a 500 code, which refers to a temporary problem without revealing the cause.
The problem was commented by thousands of people on social networks, especially Twitter, where the issue became a trend.
